After 20 years of being empty, unused, and slipping into dereliction, one of Wales’ most historic churches has been
brought back into use as residential accommodation.

The Grade II listed St John’s Church in Dowlais, Merthyr Tydfil has been converted into 20 unique apartments at the total cost of £1.35m and with £500,000 of Welsh Government funding support.

Genesis stair nosing’s NHD05 and NHD17 have just been specified and installed within the church.

NHD17 with Dolphin Grey inserts have been used on all the main communal stair wells and feature a yellow insert on the top and bottom steps to help the visually impaired distinguish when a staircase ends and another begins.

NHD05 with a yellow insert has been used in all communal hallways to clearly highlight that there are steps there.
