A newly established innovation centre sought to create a state-of-the-art kitchen facility to cater to the culinary needs of its staff and visiting clients. As part of the kitchen design, the incorporation of a cove former was deemed essential to facilitate hygienic and visually appealing transitions between the floor and walls.
The primary challenge encountered during the project was the need to integrate the cove former seamlessly with the kitchen’s design while ensuring practicality, durability, and compliance with stringent hygiene standards. Additionally, the precise installation of the cove former around the kitchen’s complex layout posed a significant challenge.
To ensure durability and hygienic performance, the Genesis KCOV1.16 was selected. KCOV is made from a material which has physical properties compliant with the industry standards regarding methods of testing plastic and is suitable for a wide range of applications due to its excellent chemical resistance and requires no special maintenance.
The successful integration of the cove former in the kitchen of the innovation centre contributed to a sleek, modern, and highly functional culinary workspace. The cove former not only facilitated ease of cleaning and maintenance but also added a professional and visually appealing touch to the kitchen environment, aligning with the innovative ethos of the centre.
