Car360 is a leading used-car company that prides itself on premium cars, premium service and premium experience – and part of that experience is their pristine state-of-the-art showroom which recently underwent renovations with a number of Genesis products. In order to meet the client’s specifications Birmingham Tiling Specialists used Genesis in three key areas of their project.

Due to the nature of vehicle showrooms not only is natural movement of floors a factor but there is an increased risk due to regular vehicle movements on the surface, therefore it is imperative a reliable decoupling membrane is used. STRATO MEMBRANE neutralises tension between the substrate and tile surface, as well as creating a bridge over existing fractures in the substrate. The flexibility of use between domestic and commercial projects makes it a tiling essential.

The large surface area of the showroom demands reliable movement joints to meet the rigid BS 5385. MLB100.35 is an easy to install joint that meets the 20% movement absorption criteria while complimenting the chosen tiles – protecting the installation without being intrusive to the aesthetic finish.

In order to provide efficiency in installation through guaranteeing a flush finish with speed the GLS 2mm Levelling Bases (640) and GLS Wedges (644) were used. The simple system is easy to install as you go to ensure the tiled surface is level and easily removed once complete.
